The Jumper/SFC

Hi my name is Simon Frank Carter, I am 25, 250 pounds and 6'4'', The year is 2025, I live in what used to be called Manhattan, .......And I jump, .....that may not mean much to a lot of people, But, what it actually means is, when things in the present go wrong, I have to "Jump" back in time to correct things, thats the simplest way I can explain it without blowing your mind.

It was my first call of the day, I went to the central office, Marie was there, I've been sleeping with her sister, but I wasn't about to let her know that, she handed me my coffee, we have been going through the same routine for 18 months now. I stepped onto the transport pad, as I have too many times, I'm the rookie so I get all the crap jumps, My mission was to go back to 1952 and meet up with another jumper, (Tom) he needed some help with a case he was working on.

Ive worked on over 200 jumps so far, never had a problem, I was hoping today was going to be the same........It wasn't.

The T.T.J.2 (Time Travel Jumper, Unit two,) was the oldest unit we have, never given us a days trouble...... until today, unbeknownst to me there was  a problem with the gender assignment wiring, normally we arrive in the past same as we left the present, some wiring had gotten fused together, when I landed back in 1952 the first thing I noticed was that I'd shrunk in height, I estimated about a foot at least.

I tried to take a few steps forward, but couldn't walk without stumbling, I looked at my feet only to realize I was wearing women's high heels, as I went a few more steps I passed a mirror and couldn't believe my reflection.......




I had arranged to meet Tom by the docks, I had no idea how I was going to explain what had happened to me....
